Yearling Nominations
Yearling nomination forms can be downloaded here (PDF file).
Yearlings are able to be nominated after February 28 if planning to sell as a yearling, by payment of $5,000 if their sire was properly nominated in the year of conception.
*Eligible yearlings are able to be nominated under our Foal Nominations program between January 1 and February 28 of the yearling year HERE.
*Yearlings are able to be nominated for $18,000 if their sire was not properly nominated in the year of conception under our Racehorse Nominations program HERE.
This nomination ensures lifetime racing eligibility for that horse.
A Breeders' Cup nominated horse is eligible to participate in all purse and awards programs of the Breeders' Cup including the $34 million Breeders' Cup World Championships races for its entire racing career without any further nomination payments due.
Horse Nominators are paid nominator awards through the Breeders' Cup Win and You're In Series and the $34 million Breeders' Cup World Championships, regardless of whether the nominator still owns the horse.
